can only be applied after the specimen will have adjusted itself to the
respective temperature of the specimen holder which must be between
the temperature range.
• Use the hand wheel to make sure that the most protruding point
of the specimen is opposite the knife edge. is position must be
within the selected cutting window.

Note:
If the button (fig. 25.1) is pressed twice and the cutting window is inactive,
the automatic approach can be released in any position.
• Press button (fig. 25.2) to start the automatic approach process.
• e red LED in this button (fig. 25.2) lights up and confirms the
chosen function and AUT.APPROACH is shown in the status line
on the display (fig. 24).
