14. Orient the EGC with the cable
aligned with the slot in the holder
(see Figure 49) and then slide the
EGC down into the holder until it
stops.
NOTE To avoid crimping the lines
inside the holder, do not twist
the EGC as you turn it over.

Conditioning the EGC
1.Unscrew and remove
the plug from the vent
opening on the side of
the EGC (see
Figure 50).

2. Direct the yellow backpressure coil from the EGC
OUTLET
port to a
waste container.
Note
: This can be a temporary waste container, such
as a beaker.
3. Connect the Dionex RFC-30
EG-1
cable to the EGC cable. Push the
two cables together and twist the locking ring to connect them.
4. Turn on the power to the Dionex RFC-30.
5. Go to the flow screen and set the flow rate to
1 mL/min
.
