ECOTEL 3G 16.1. Revised: 1 March 2011.
4. The setting shown below is used to send the e-mail without the leading
SMS
keyword. In that case, the
To
field in the e-mail header starts with the number instead of
SMS
followed by the number.
MailToWoKey=SMS
The following entry must appear in the
route.cfg
for transmission to be possible:
MapAllSMS=<port>
map all SMS messages to a port or
MapAllSMS=<LAIN>
map all SMS messages to a LAIN
The mapping to a LAIN requires that in the
pabx.cfg
file, the
CHADDR
parameter is added to the
Subscriber
line, to change the controller definition to the SIM card’s LAIN.
Example:
Here is an example of the configurations in the
pabx.cfg
file:
Example:
Here is the corresponding configuration in the
route.cfg
file:
E-mail content
Enter the recipient’s mobile phone number followed by the ECOTEL’s IP address or domain name in the
To
field in
your e-mail client:
SMS<mobile number>@<IP address of ECOTEL>
or
SMS<mobile number>@<domain name of ECOTEL>
You can leave out the
SMS
keyword if you set
MailToWoKey=SMS
in the
[Mail]
section of the
pabx.cfg
file for your ECOTEL.
Compose the message that you want to send in your e-mail client’s text box. If your text exceeds 160 characters,
more than one SMS messages will be sent to the recipient, each of them containing up to 160 characters. The max-
imum number of characters is 1600.
Do not use the
Subject
field. If your e-mail client supports sending the same e-mail to more than one recipient,
list the recipients in the
To
field as you would with normal e-mail addresses. The SMS messages are sent at intervals
of one second. You can add up to 50 recipients to a single e-mail. You can limit the number of recipients by using
the
MailRcptMax=<count>
parameter in the
[Mail]
section of the
pabx.cfg
file.
If your ECOTEL transmitted the SMS message to the mobile network successfully, a confimation e-mail will be sent
back to the originator containing the subject “sent”. A corresponding CDR entry will be entered in the
cdr.log
file with the service indicator 0500. Do not forget to define the path to this log file in the
pabx.cfg
.
