Drops’ Feed Distribution Options

Select

4. Drop settings

• Select a drop

The following parameters are associ-

ated with the chosen drop and must

be set separately for each drop in use.

• # of animals

This menu shows the number of

animals that are being served by the

selected drop. The value is displayed

as a reading and cannot be modified.

Refer to section 8.1 to monitor the

number of animals per drop.

• Animal Age

Set the age of the animals that are

being served by the selected drop.

The animal age is automatically in-

creased every day at the Time of reset.

• Dosage (/day/animal)

Enter the daily amount of feed to be distributed per animal for the selected

drop. Adjustable from 0 to 30,000 g (0.00 to 66.14 lbs) or to decrease the

dosage until you reach the Ad Lib option (the Ad Lib distribution method

ensures a refill of all empty drops on each cycle. A drop is considered as being

empty when no feed is detected by its proximity sensor(s)).

* This menu is only available if the blend curve and the “Continuous Feeding” option are disabled in the

installation setup (s. 5.3). If a curve is used, the dosage is set separately for each point of the curve (s. 6.1.2).

* The AdLib function is available if proximity sensors are located in the holding hopper of the drops (s. 5.8)

and if the blend curves are disabled in the installation setup (s. 5.3).

If a daily dosage is specified, the controller splits this dosage evenly

between each feed cycle of the day. Make sure the amount of feed

that is sent during a cycle does not exceed the drop’s capacity.

• Blend

Select which feed blend is distributed to the selected drop.

* Available if blends  are enabled and if blend curves are disabled in the installation setup (s. 5.3).
