ECO II FEEDING

LED

MEANING

POWER ON

The CDM-1 module is correctly powered up.

CURRENT OVERLOAD

Turns on when the loop motor's current consumption
exceeds the maximum current limit for the Over Current
Delay. Refer to section 5.6 to fix this delay. When this
type of alarm occurs, the system stops operating. The
problem needs to be fix.

SAFETY SWITCH

Turns on when the drive unit's safety switch is reached.

FEED SWITCH

Turns on if the loop's proximity switch detects feed.
Flashes during the proximity switch's bypass delay. Refer
to section 5.6 for further information.

FEEDER

Turns on when the feeder is running

ARROW KEYS:

Arrow keys are used to navigate within the different menus. They  are also used to

adjust a parameter value when it is flashing on the display.

ENTER / MODIFY BUTTON:

- To enter in a menu:

Pressing this key gives access to the selected menu.

- To modify a parameter:

Press the modify key once the desired parameter is selected. The parameter

starts flashing, which means that it can now be adjusted with the arrow keys.

Refer to section 4.2 for further information on the parameters’ adjustment.

BACK BUTTON

:

This key is used to return to the previous menu.

CDM-1 MODULES:

CDM-1 modules are used to drive feeder mo-

tors in a closed-loop feeding system.

Pilot Lights:

The following table gives the meaning

of each status LED of CDM-1 modules.

Manual Switch:

ECO II FEEDING  rev.06

ECO II FEEDING

• Bin #

Select which ingredient is distributed to the selected drop.

* Available if blends & blend curves are disabled, and if more than one bin is enabled in the installation

setup (s. 5.3).

• Blend curve

Select which blend curve the drop uses.

* Available if a blend curve is enabled in the installation setup (s. 5.3).

• Bin %

Shows the constitution of the feed blend that is currently being delivered to

the selected drop. This value is displayed for information purpose only, it

cannot be modified.

* Available if blends and blend curves are enabled in the installation setup (s. 5.3).

• Real animal weight

Enter the real weight of the animals that are being served by the selected drop.

The dosage and feed type are automatically adjusted if the real weight differs

from the theoretical weigh.

This value must frequently be posted

for the pigs

to receive a feed type and dosage that suit their current weight.

• Dosage Correction (%)

This function allows adjusting feed dosages within a curve. This avoids modi-

fying each point individually when dosage corrections need to be made.

* Available if the “Continuous Feeding” option is disabled in the installation setup (s. 5.3).

• Feed during cycles #1-6

Select feed cycles that are used for the selected drop.

* Available if the “Active feed cycles in curve” and “Continuous Feeding” options are disabled in the installa-

tion setup (s. 5.3).
