3.4.3 Connection
3.4.3.1 Connecting to the CMU or the EMU
HCS-8635 series congress terminal equipped with two
RJ45 sockets supports daisy chain connection via
cat5e cable. When connecting the CMU to the
contribution units, the CBL8P2RJ45 converter cable is
needed to connect the the first unit to the socket of the
CMU.

For a longer distance between the contribution unit and
the CMU/EMU, a Cat5e cable can be used. One end of
the Cat5e cable is connected to output of the main unit
via the CBL8P2RJ45S converter cable; the other end
of the Cat5e cable is connected to the contribution unit.

For “Closed Loop - Daisy Chain” ring connection,
HCS-8600MCLS Loop switcher is needed. The "TO
MU" port of HCS-8600MCLS is connected to the output
of the main unit via CBL8P2RJ45 converter cable; the
other port of HCS-8600MCLS is connected to the
contribution unit; at last, connect the last contribution
unit back to the CMU via a CBL8P2RJ45S converter
cable.

3.4.3.2 Connection between congress units
The HCS-8635 series economical multimedia terminals
are daisy-chained easily and conveniently by cat5e
cables.
When connecting with another multimedia terminal,
just use a Cat5e cable to connect one RJ45 socket of
the terminal to the RJ45 socket of the next terminal.

3.4.3.3 Video display
The HCS-8635 series compact multimedia terminal is
equipped with a 10” TFT LCD with 1280
×
800
high-resolution. It supports high definition digital video
(SDI) display corresponding with the standard
CEA-861. Video signal transmitted on a high quality
coaxial-cable, such as RG-6 or SYV-75 and the length
of each cable is no more than 50 m.
