Assembly Adjustment (Crane Operation)
1.2 Adjusting the telescoping wire rope for the 3rd boom section
1. Fully retract the boom, then loosen the 3rd boom section extension wire rope.
2. Evenly tighten adjustment nuts D at the threaded
end of the 3rd boom section retraction wire rope,
until the 2nd boom section is slightly (3 to 4 mm
(0.12 to 0.16 in)) away from the base boom when
the boom is telescoped.
3. Tighten adjustment nuts E (2 points) at the
threaded end of the 3rd boom section extension
wire rope.
4. Extend and fully retract the boom to complete
adjustment. If the boom is not fully retracted,
follow the below procedure to check and adjust it.

Loosen adjustment nuts D (2 points)
at the threaded end of the 3rd boom
section retraction wire rope by approx.
1/2 turn.
3rd boom section retraction wire rope is tensed.

Tighten adjustment nuts E (2 points) at
the threaded end of the 3rd boom section
extension wire rope by approx. 1/2 turn.
Loosen adjustment nuts E (2 points) at the
threaded end of the 3rd boom section
extension wire rope by approx. 1/2 turn.
2nd boom section is extended. 3rd boom section is extended.
Boom is not fully retracted.
