I/NET 2000 Getting Started

Installing I/NET

I/NET provides an automated installation program to simplify the
initial setup requirements. You can use the Setup program to:

✦

Install the full I/NET program, or

✦

Install selected I/NET components.

The Setup program copies the I/NET application files and
supporting files to your hard drive and configures certain compo-
nents to operate correctly.

Note:

If you are upgrading from a previous version of I/NET, please review
the information in

“Upgrading Previous Versions of I/NET” on page

1-4

before beginning the installation program.

The Setup Program

Follow the procedures below to run the Setup program and install
I/NET.

Close all other applications running on your system,
including virus-checking software.

Insert the I/NET CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.

If your system supports AutoStart, the Setup program
launches automatically. Proceed to Step 3.

If your system does not support AutoStart, from the

Start

button, select

“Run ...”.

Type

d:setup

(where

is the letter designation of

your CD-ROM drive) in the

Open

field of the Run

dialog box. Press

Enter.
