I/NET Conversions
The current version of I/NET 2000 uses data file formats that are
not compatible with previous versions. If you are upgrading a
previous version of I/NET 2000, you must convert these files to
ensure proper operation of your I/NET 2000 system.
Once the host workstation is upgraded, do NOT run I/NET 2000,
Configure, or I/O Server until all host workstations that equalize
files have also been upgraded.
Caution:
A nonrecoverable data corruption will occur if a workstation running
I/NET 2000 version 2.0 attempts to equalize files or otherwise read
any unconverted file.
There are four conversion programs that must be run as part of the
upgrade procedure:
✦
Database Utility (
)
✦
Access Control File Conversion Utility (
)
✦
InetAMT.mdb File Conversion Utility (
✦
DCUxxxx.sav File Conversion Utility (
If you are upgrading from I/NET 2000 version 1.x, the first three
programs will run automatically during startup. It is important to
run these programs when they are launched. You may also run
them manually by selecting the desired utility from the I/NET2000
program folder.
The program to convert controller save files never runs automati-
cally. This conversion program should be run manually if you wish
to continue to use existing controller save files.
