Discover Various Applications with

Package Center

Synology has integrated third party or Synology-designed applications into packages that can be installed on
DiskStation and managed with Package Center.

Coming with full-featured applications, Synology DiskStation provides you with a variety of privileges to enjoy
multimedia contents, share photos, videos, and blogs, access files anytime and anywhere, monitor live actions
from cameras, live stream and record digital TV programs, search and download files from the Internet, back up
precious data, and build your own cloud.

This chapter introduces packages available at Package Center and explains how to manage packages, configure
Package Center, and launch enabled applications.

What Package Center Offers

Go to

Here you can install/uninstall, run, update, and check the packages.

To install packages:

tab, you can see a list of available packages. Click

Install

to install the packages you

want. Installed packages will be moved to the

If you want to install a package by uploading the

.spk

file (available at Synology's

Download Center

or the

third party websites), click

Install / Update

and follow the wizard to install the new package.
