12.3 Programming the Primary Filtration
To access the “Primary” feature, tap
Primary...
from the Heat and Filter
menu, Figure 12.3a, to enter the “Primary” programming, Figure 12.3b.
If the Primary tab does not appear on the LCD display, swipe the screen
upward to view additional options.
During a primary filtration, the circulation pump, CLEAR RAY and ozone
unit (if applicable) are activated. The factory default cycle starts at 12:00
AM and last for 8 hours. If you elect to keep this setting, then you can
skip this section.
In extreme bitter cold weather, where freezing can occur,
we recommend you program the circulation pump to run 24
hours. Refer to the “Winterizing” section on page 62.
Any time the circulation pump runs outside of a program cycle, e.g. for
heating, that run time will be deducted from the next primary filter cycle.
For example, the primary filter cycle is set to 8 hours every 24 hours but
the circulation pump comes on for 2 hours to heat the water after the
cycle has finished. The next primary filter cycle will only be for 6 hours
not 8 hours.

To change the default cycle (Figure 12.3c):
1. Tap
Start
to activate the programming settings.
2. Swipe the hour to scroll and select the start time. To
switch from “AM” to “PM” you must round a 12-Hour
period.
3. Tap
Set
to accept and save the change.
4. Tap
End
to program the end time for the cycle.
5. Swipe the hour to scroll and select the end time. To
switch from “AM” to “PM” you must round a 12-Hour
period.
6. Tap
Set
to accept and save the change.
7. Tap to return to the Heat and Filter Menu. Tap again to return to
the Settings Menu.
