Use Immediate Burn-In Test to run a test script. Sun provides three diagnostic
scripts designed to test a full range of system resources.
■
Use Advanced Diagnostics Test to test a specific hardware component, for example,
a CPU or a hard disk.
Other selections on the Diagnostics main menu display information about the
system, create disk partitions, and display test results.

To Access the Pc-Check Diagnostics
1. Shut down the server.
For instructions, see Section 2.2, “Powering Off the Server” on page 2-4 .
2. Start the SP and access the web interface.
See the corresponding SP documentation collection for details.
3. Configure the PCCheck program. This configures how Pc-Check runs when the
SP is booted.
■
For ELOM:
a. From the main menu, click the Remote Control tab and the Remote Power
Control tab.
b. From the drop-down menu select the option to Boot from PCCheck.
c. Click Submit.
■
For ILOM:
a. From the main menu, click the Remote Control tab and the Diagnostics tab
b. Select the Manual option from the drop-down menu.
The drop-down menu offers the following choices:

Disabled – Pc-Check doesn’t run.
■
Enabled – Selects the abbreviated version, which takes about three minutes.
■
Extended – Selects the abbreviated version, which takes about 30 minutes.
■
Manual – Selects the manual version, which runs untill it is stopped by user
intervention.
Note –
Select the Manual option to complete this procedure.
c. Click Save.
