Troubleshooting
Mechanical system/paint stage
Problem Cause Measure
Pump output is low 14. O-ring in pump is worn
or damaged
14. Replace O-ring.
15. Material residues on the
inlet valve ball
15. Clean inlet valve.
16. Pressure set too low 16. Increase pressure.
17. Large pressure drop in
hose with heavy materials
17. Use a larger diameter hose and/or reduce the overall
length of the hose. A hose exceeding 30 m in length with
a ¼" diameter significantly reduces the performance of the
sprayer. Use a 3/8" hose for optimum performance (mini-
mum length of 15 m).
Excessive paint leakage
into packing nut
1. Packing nut loose 1. Remove the spacer of the packing seal. Tighten the
packing nut to stop the leakage.
2. The packing seals are
worn or damaged
2. Replace seals.
3. The piston rod is worn or
damaged
3. Replace rod.
Material pulsates when
exiting the gun
1. Air in the device or hose Tighten. Reduce the motor speed via the potentiometer
and operate the pump as slowly as possible during the
suction process.
2. Tip is partially clogged 2. Clean the tip;
3. The material container is
empty or nearly empty
3. Refill the material container. Prime the pump; check
the material container regularly to prevent the pump from
running dry.
Pump is difficult to prime 1. Air in pump or hose 1. Check and tighten all threaded connections. Reduce the
motor speed via the potentiometer and operate the pump
as slowly as possible during priming.
2. Intake valve and bypass
switch are leaking
2. Clean the intake valve. Make sure the ball seat is not
nicked or worn and that the ball is properly seated. Reas-
semble the valve.
3. Packing seals are worn 3. Replace.
4. Paint is too thick 4. Thin the paint according to the manufacturer's recom-
mendations.
No display, spray gun wor-
king
1. Display is damaged or
has a faulty connection
1. Check connections. Replace the display.
