Pressing LINE followed by a digit (1-7) on the wireless telephone is equivalent to pressing
one of the programmable line keys on the M2616 (Keys 0-6). LINE + 8 (Key 7) is
reserved for local programming, as on the Modular telephone.
LINE + 0
is equivalent to
the
RLS
button.
FCN + 1
is reserved for Mute/Unmute.
Pressing FCN followed by a digit (2-9) on the wireless telephone is equivalent to pressing
one of the dual memory buttons on the M2616 (Keys 8-15). These are usually
programmed for speed dial or features.
If a Message key is assigned, the red Message light on the M2616 maps to the
MSG
icon
on the wireless telephone display.
3. Set Up Access to Diagnostic Modem
The SpectraLink system can be accessed remotely using a diagnostic modem built-in to
the Link 150.
To set up this access, the Meridian Technician should program a port to be Direct Inward
Dial (DID). The port should emulate an M2616. The DID line should be programmed so
that it is the only line appearance on the port. It should have ringing enabled. The DID
should only appear on this port. No other features need to be programmed for this port.
The Installer connects the digital DID port from the Meridian to the SpectraLink MCU,
Port 1, MCU 1.

Program Wireless Telephones
Copy Settings from a Wired Telephone
If possible, use the LD11 Copy command to copy the settings from a wired telephone with
similar settings and restrictions to a wireless telephone.
After this is done, use the Easy Change command to make the following changes on one
wireless telephone, then copy the programming to other wireless telephones or groups of
wireless telephones.
Program Class of Service
The following Class of Service settings should be selected for the wireless telephones:

Automatic Answerback should be denied.
•
Allow Digital Display should be turned on.
Key Assignments
Assign Prime DN, lines and DN's, and features as determined in the pre-installation
procedures.
