Enter the name for remote party in the line following INDEX.
Use the on-screen keyboard to enter the names and numbers.
For entering a name using the on-screen keyboard, see page 2-5.

After entering a name, select [

] from the on-screen keyboard.
The block cursor moves to the A1 entry line.

Enter the telephone number of the remote party.
If the remote party has more than one telephone number, enter the first
number and select [
.
] from the on-screen keyboard, then enter the
second number on the next line. (When you have not installed the
optional PCS-I300 BRI Board, you cannot enter the numbers on B1
and B2 lines.)
You can use the [copy] key to copy the number on the line above onto
the current line.
For details on the [copy] key, see page 2-6.
Note on the optional PCS-I300 BRI Board
If you install the optional PCS-I300 BRI Board (see page 4-13), you
can use two ISDN lines (up to 4B). In this case, enter second telephone
number on B1 and B2 entry lines.
Notes
• If the ISDN line system in your country designates one number per line,
conduct the following:
For an ISDN line at a 2B (1B is 56/64 Kbps) transfer rate, enter the same
number on two consecutive lines. When you install the optional PCS-
I300 BRI Board for a 4B transfer rate, enter the two numbers (the same
number for each) on two consecutive lines. (The faster the transfer rate,
the smoother motions will appear on the TV monitor.)
Use a comma (,) or an asterisk (*) to add a sub address. Only numbers
can be used.
• If the remote party uses a PCS-2000 series system and local party uses
two ISDN lines, enter the remote party’s telephone numbers in the order
they are connected to the ISDN A and B jacks.
• If you are using the ISDN line and calling a party in the USA from
outside the USA, set [LINE RATE] to [56K].
