Data Copy Function
The copy operation is only found in the service mode categories that contain convergence data. See Chart 15-1.
The purpose of the copy function is to copy the data within that category from the Full Mode to the other display
modes such as Normal and Zoom. The data should be the same in this TV because the deflection has not
changed in these other modes (horizontal frequency is always 33.75kHz in all picture modes). The different
modes are accomplished by changing the video signal.
Procedure
1. Perform convergence or geometry adjustments in the FULL Picture Mode.
2. When you finish making adjustments to that category, use buttons 1 and 4 on the remote to go to the “CPY”
item in that category (CPY 1, CPY 2 or CPY 3 is the last item in the category).
3. While on the CPY item, Change its data from 0 to 1 (button 3).
4. Press the Mute button.
5. Press the Enter button.
The data from the Full mode in the category you are in is copied to the remaining picture modes.
Internal Video Pattern Generation
The Q boards can generate patterns in 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i when receiving a DTV station.
1. Enter the service mode.
2. Go to a DTV station or input a 1080i video input, otherwise the patterns will not be displayed.
3. Select category “DTV” (buttons 2 and 5).
4. Select item #1 (PATN) using buttons 1 or 4. You can select 1080i, 480 or 720p video patterns by choosing the
data numbers 1-39 (buttons 3 and 6) as shown in Chart 15-2.
