4-2-5. Prevention from Falling
Securing the consoles to the floor is recommended to prevent the consoles from falling at the casualties
such as earthquake, after installing the basic storage system and the extension consoles. Two methods of
securing the consoles are prepared. One method is to secure the consoles to the ceiling and pillars. The
other method is to secure the consoles to floor. Use the appropriate method to secure the consoles,
depending upon the installation location. (Both of the basic storage system and the extension console can
be secured by the same method.)
1. Securing the consoles to ceiling
Each console has the four screw-holes for installing the eye bolt (M12) on the top panel, enabling to
secure (with the use of eye bolts) the consoles to ceiling and to pillars. To secure the console, install the
eyebolts (commercially available) equivalent to the one shown in Fig. 1 in the screw-holes. Connect
chains or the like to the eyebolts from pillars or ceiling of the building to secure the console. Refer to the
detailed drawing (Fig. 2) for the location of the screw-holes.

The weight of this product is about 450 kg and the height is about 1980 mm.
When fixing this product with chains or wires attached to the ceiling, take enough consideration of its
weight, height and other conditions, and purchase appropriate wire for usage. Do not sling the console
with the eye bolts.
