5-2. Procedure to Install the PetaSite/PSC Package Only
When “5-1. PetaApp Package Installation Procedure” is performed, this step is not required.
(1) Start PetaApp Linux.
(2) Log into the root account, and start the terminal window.
(3) Insert the PetaApp Control Software [Server] or PetaSite Controller CD-ROM.
Insert the “PetaSite Controller” in PSC V6.70 and later CD-ROM.
(4) Open the terminal window and enter the following.
# cd /mnt/cdrom
#cd/media/cdrecorder in PetaApp Linux 3.00 and later
# . /pscinstall
#./psc2/pscinstall in PSC V6.70 and later

(Installation begins.)

>>OK? (y/n?) Enter “y”.

>>Destination directory : /psc (y/n/q) ?
Enter “y”.

Select the components that you wish to install
>>Select : (m/s/q) [main] ?
: Enter “m” (Selects the main system)
Type >>Select: (m/s/q)[main]?:m in PSC V6.40 and later. (Select the main system.)

Select the devices that you wish to install
Select (1/2/3/4/q)
: Enter “4” (Selects the CSM)

Input the serial number of Basic Console : [ ] :
Enter the serial number
(For PetaApp/PSC V6.20 or later)

Sony PetaApp Server Install is Complete
(5) Shutdown.
Blank (no input) is OK.
