3-4-8. Replacing the E Guide Roller (35)/(16)

Assembly

The two E guide roller (35) assemblies and two (16)

assemblies are installed to the gate base (35) assembly and

gate base (16) assembly respectively.

This section describes the replacement procedures of the E

guide roller (35) assemblies of the gate base (35) assembly.

The replacement procedures for the gate base (16) assem-

bly are the same.

Tools

E guide height gauge (J-6515-120-A)

Thickness gauge (t = 0.03 mm)

Removal

1. Removing the gate base (35) assembly

Remove the gate base (35) assembly.

(Refer to Section 3-2-1.)

2. Removing the integrator assembly

Remove the integrator assembly from the gate base (35)

assembly. (Refer to Section 1-11-4.)

3. Removing the E guide roller (35) assembly

(1) Loosen the two precision screws fully, and pull out the

E guide shaft 35, and then remove the E guide roller

(35) assembly.

At this time, E guide flange, F guide sleeve and

compression spring are removed together. Be sure not

to lose these parts.

Installation

4. Installing the E guide roller (35) assembly

(1) Install the removed parts and a new E guide roller (35)

assembly to the E guide shaft 35 in order as shown in

the figure.

(2) Align the D cut portion of the E guide shaft 35 with

the precision screw side, and tighten the two precision

screws.
