While minor cosmetic damage will not impair the function of the winch, a seriously damaged winch MUST
BE removed from service and returned to an authorized service center for repair prior to further use.
7.1.3 Overload Indicator Activation
Inspect the visual Overload Indicator on the snap hook (Figure 6a) to ensure that the winch has not been
overloaded. If a red band is visible as shown in Figure 6b, the winch has been overloaded. A winch
which has been overloaded MUST BE removed from service and returned to an authorized service center
for repair prior to further use.
