10.1.2 Fault messages and effect on operation
FAULT
If a fault occurs during operation, it has the following
effects:

The measurement is canceled.

The measuring values go to 0. When the cause of
the fault has been remedied, it is automatically de-
leted.

When the Fault message appears, the color of the
status display changes to red and the text de-
scribes the fault in question.
Example: FAULT SERIAL 1
The following fault messages can be displayed:
FAULT MESSAGE DESCRIPTION POSSIBLE CAUSES
SERIAL 1 No communication between
the operating electronics and
measuring electronics.

Cable disconnected.

Defect in the electronic system.

Service technician
MEASUR.FAULT Measuring value acquisition is
faulty.

Bubbles in the water.

External light in the vicinity of
the measuring point (e.g.
transparent hoses).

Defect in the electronic system.

Service technician
LIGHTSOURCE 1 The detector for monitoring
the light source receives no
light.

Defective light source.

Obstacle in the optical path.

Service technician
IO PORT Connection between
NG_HAUPT and NG_BASI-
Print is disturbed.

Connection has been dis-
connected.

Defect in the electronic system.

