3.3 Correcting Line Loss
Users can correct line loss using the Flatness function combined with a power meter.
Connect the
[RF OUTPUT 50Ω]
connector of the SSG to the cable under test, and connect the
end of the cable to a power meter. Plug the power meter into the USB port of the SSG and wait
for the power meter connection to complete.

5. Set the Frequency & Level
d) Press
FREQ,
and enter the 1GHz with the numeric keypad, or click the frequency on
the touch screen to pop up the keypad to input 1GHz.
e) Press
LEVEL
, and enter the 0dBm with the numeric keypad, or click the amplitude on
the touch screen to pop up the keypad to input 0dBm on the keypad.

Set the frequency of flatness calibration

Start Freq
to 4GHz,
Stop Freq
to 5GHz,

Perform amplitude calibration
a)
Click “
Fill Flatness with Sensor
” button and a “Collecting” dialog will pop up.
After the data collection is finished, it will automatically return to the flatness list page and give
the corrected amplitude correction value for each frequency.
