Level Control
As shown above, the sensor measures a proportional power in defined time intervals,
derived from a coupler. It considers optionally the given S-parameters and returns the
results to the generator. The signal generator compares the measured level with the set
value and adjusts its output level accordingly. This allows you to control the external signal
level continuously and reliably reach a constant input level to the DUT in real time.
In practice, an RF splitter is needed to split the RF signal. One of them is connected to the
DUT and the other is connected to the power meter. The signal source is for acquisition
and compensation. Power compensation can be used to minimize cable losses, the
attenuation of passive networks, and the amplification of the signal by a power amplifier
and the frequency response of each device in the link as the frequency changes.
Note:
When the function is turned on, the frequency or level sweep functions will be
turned off, and vice versa.
