Use an external modulation signal. The external signal is input via the
[EXT MOD INPUT]
connector on the rear panel of the instrument. The modulated signal can be an arbitrary
waveform.

Use both, the internal and external modulation signal; this technique can be used to
perform dual-tone PM.
