Troubleshooting 

This  chapter  contains  information  and  procedures  to  troubleshooting 

general hardware failures. 

8.1

 

Safety Consideration and Cautions 

Only  qualified  personnel  should  perform  troubleshooting  procedures. 

Disconnect  the  power  cord  whenever  possible.  DO  NOT  try  to 

troubleshoot if visible damage is detected on the power supply module 

and the acquisition board, return it to SIGLENT for further repair. 

 

WARNING 

 

HAZARDOUS VOLTAGES 
In case maintenance is performed with power supply on 
and  without  protective  covers.  Only  qualified personnel 
with  proper  tools  and  protection  should  perform  the 
maintenance.  The  equipment  must  be  well-grounded 
during operation.

AVOIDELECTRICALSHOCK 
Hazardous  voltages  exist  on  the  power  supply  module 
and  LCD  module.  To  avoid  electrical  shock,  disconnect 
the  power  cord  and  wait  at  least  three  minutes  for  the 
capacitors to discharge before you begin disassembly.

Electronic  components  may  be  damaged  without
