Storing connection data for the customer server
In the second step, store the FTP connection data for the customer server to which the
measurement results should be transmitted. The measurement results with image data
are stored on the FTP server in freely definable directories. Access to the FTP server is
normally protected with a username and password.

In the configuration interface’s tree structure, select the function

The FTP protocol relevant for data transmission is pre-selected as standard under the
Data Host Output
field.
This setting must not be changed.
The following parameters
must
be
adjusted
to the customer’s requirements.

Enter the IP address for the server to which the measurement results
should be transferred.

Add the port that should be used to connect to the server.

Enter the FTP username and password which are used to access the
FTP server.

upload path images
Enter the directories that should be used to store the measurement
results with the corresponding image files (only when using the IP
camera) on the FTP server. Measurement data and image files can be
stored in different directories.
As the default setting, the directories
SICKTransfer/dimensions
and
SICKTransfer/itemPictures
are suggested under the FTP root directory.

Change these suggestions accordingly.
Notes
Make sure that the directories you enter here actually exist on the
FTP server and that the specified FTP user has write access for these
directories.
If you do not enter any information under these fields, measurement
data and images are stored directly in the FTP server’s root directory.
All other parameters

default
value.
