NOTE:

Be sure to select the reverse gear shim(s) if
replacing the propeller shaft housing, ball
bearing, or lower case.

•

Be sure to select the propeller shaft shim if
replacing the reverse gear.

•

To select the shims, see Chapter 6, 

“

Shim-

ming (regular rotation model).

After installing the reverse gear and
shim(s), check that the reverse gear rotates
smoothly.
