Before traveling up a steep slope, allow the machine to warm up sufficiently so it can perform properly.
•
Avoid crossing inclines as much as possible. Slipping or rolling over may occur.
•
Do not swing (1) the upper structure on a slope.
•
Do not swing the upper structure to the downhill direction; the machine may tip over. If such an operation
is necessary, swing the upper structure and the boom with great care.
•
Do not swing a loaded bucket to the downhill
direction. Build a platform (2) on an incline so the
machine can be operated on a level surface
.
•
When traveling down a grade greater than 15°, the
work equipment should be positioned in front of the
canopy with the final drive sprockets (3) in the uphill
direction. Keep the boom-arm angle between 90° and
110° (4) and the bucket 8 in.–12 in.
(20 cm–30 cm) (5) above the ground.
•
When traveling up a grade greater than 15°, the work
equipment should be positioned in front of the canopy
with the final drive sprockets (6) in the downhill
direction. Keep the boom-arm angle between 90° and
110°, (7) and the bucket 8 in.–12 in. (20 cm–30 cm) (8)
above the ground.
