4.1.1 Power Cable Selection

Selection of power cable should strictly observe related norms and meet the following requirements:

●

Current carrying capacity

●

Cable manufacturer standard

●

Installation and laying modes

●

Voltage drop caused by cable length

●

Power industry standard

●

EMC standard

Wiring & Terminal Definition

Chapter 4

●

Armored cables with shielding effect is recommended for MV cable used between the VFD and the motor, it can

prevent the rodent damage and meet the requirement of EMC.

●

If the whole section area is less than 50% of the section area of single-phase conductor, a grounding

cable is needed to prevent the shield over-current produced by potential difference of grounding grid.

●

Section area of grounding cables should be bigger than 16mm
