3.2 Hardware
SINUS MV
series NV drive is mainly composed of the following parts

Transformer cabinet
●
Control/cell cabinet
●
Switch cabinet and other switch devices (optional)
The typical
SINUS MV
MV VFD layout includes transformer cabinet, power cell cabinet and control cabinet,
see in the Figure 3-11. When VFD capacity is small, transformer and power cell are installed in the same cabinet.
When VFD capacity is big, the system layout may include many cabinets.

3.2.1 Transformer Cabinet
The isolated phase shifting transformer and auxiliary components are installed in the transformer cabinet.
Including:

transformer cabinet
●
isolated transformer
●
top fans
●
temperature controller for isolated transformer
●
current transformer
●
fan control and protection loop of transformer cabinet
