Marker functions
The S5105D/E/F microwave analyzer provides up to eight independent markers for each trace for reading
out measurement results. Each marker can be set to normal mode or difference marker mode and
provides marker off and all off functions. The operation of using the marker is as follows:
a) Press
【
Mkr
】
→ [Sel Mkr [1] ] → [Mkr 1] , [Mkr 2] , [Mkr 3] , [Mkr 4] , [Mkr 5] , [Mkr 6] , [Mkr 7] , [Mkr
8] , select the currently displayed marker;
b) The current active marker is set to the normal mode, and the current active marker can be moved
with the rotary knob, step keys or numeric keys.
c) Press
【

→ [Normal Mkr] or [Delta Mkr] to set the currently active marker to the normal mode
or the difference mode. At this time, please set up the tab in the position where the marker will pop
up. User can set the marker position by selecting the unit in the menu item and entering the
numerical value. The difference marker displays the amplitude difference and frequency difference
between the difference marker and reference marker. The frequency value of the former one can be
directly input by using the numeric keys, and can also be moved by the rotary knob or the step key.
The displayed amplitude difference is in dB.
d) Press

→ [Mkr -> >] to pop up the soft menu related to the marker function. These menus
depends on whether frequency, span and marker of the microwave analyzer are in the normal or
difference marker mode. These marker functions allow the user to change the microwave analyzer
settings with the marker as a reference. User can also directly press [Mkr->] in the main dish area at
the bottom of the screen;
Press [Mkr -> Center Freq] and set the center frequency equal to the frequency of the marker or
difference marker. This function can quickly move the signal to the center of the screen;
Press [Mkr->Step] and set the stepping amount of the center frequency, that is, the value of the
frequency step is equal to the marker frequency. If the difference marker function is activated, the
frequency step value is equal to the frequency of the difference marker;
Press [Mkr -> Start Freq] and set the start frequency equal to the frequency of the marker or the
difference marker;
