the list sweep. Press the [Swp/Setup] to call up the sweep related menu.
1 Set sweep time
Press [Swp/Setup] → [Swp Time Auto Man], users can select the sweep time for automatic or manual
setting on the touch screen. After selecting Man, press the figure key, and select relevant unit to set the
sweep time.
2 Set weep points
Press [Swp/Setup] → [Points], then press the corresponding figure key to set the number of sweep
points, and number of sweep points in the antenna and cable test mode of the S5105D/E/F
microwave analyzer can be set from 11 to 10001.
3 Set sweep type
The sweep mode of the antenna and cable test mode of the S5105D/E/F microwave analyzer is divided
into linear sweep and list sweep. Linear sweep refers to sweep at linear frequency spacings with equal
frequency spacing between adjacent measurement points. List sweep indicates source frequency sweep
is conducted by the frequency range and sweep points set in the list that is edited.
Press [Swp/Setup] → [Swp Mode Lin List] , and select the sweep mode as linear or list sweep on the
touch screen.
In the List sweep mode, the list can be edited for adding or deleting the segment by pressing
[Swp/Setup]→[Edit List>] →[Add Seg], selecting the start frequency, stop frequency, sweep points and
IF bandwidth of the segment to be edited, and entering the parameter value via the figure key. Press
[Swp/Setup]→[Edit List>], press any part of the segment to be deleted, and press [Del Seg] for deletion.
To delete all segments in the list, just press [Del All].
4 Sweep mode
The trigger signal is used to let the microwave analyzer conduct measurement sweep, and the trigger
setting determines the microwave analyzer sweep mode and the time to stop sweeping and enter the
holding state. The microwave analyzer provides two trigger types, namely, Single and Continuous.
Press [Swp] → [Trigger Type Cont Single], select the trigger mode as sweep once or continuous sweep
on the touch screen. If the single trigger mode is selected, the microwave analyzer receives a trigger
signal and performs a sweep, and then enters the hold mode. If the continuous trigger mode is selected,
the microwave analyzer continuously sweeps until it receives the stop sweeping signal and enters the
hold mode. User can press [Run/Hold] to switch between sweep status and hold status.
Section 6 Settings of Trace and Limit Line
This Section describes the trace and limit line settings for the antenna and cable test mode of
S5105D/E/F microwave analyzer, including trace opening, closing, calculation, and use of limit lines.
1 Trace display and calculation
The trace display function can be used to control the contents and quantity of the trace displayed in the
window. Up to four tracks can be displayed in each channel window. The memory must be saved with a
trace first before conducting any trace calculation, and trace calculation is conducted via vector
calculation on previous complex number data displayed in formatting.
Follow the steps below to set the trace display
：
a) Press [Trace] → [Trace Num 1 × 1] → [1 × 1], [1 × 2] , [1 × 3], [2 × 1], [3 × 1], [4 ×1], select the
number of traces displayed in one window and the arrangement method of the trace windows;
b) Press [Trace] → [Trace 1], [Trace 2], [Trace 3], [Trace 4] to illuminate a trace window in the current
window display trace;
Follow the steps below to set trace calculation:
a) Press [Trace] → [Trace Math>] → [Data→Save] to save current measurement trace data to the
memory;
b) Press [Trace] → [Trace Math>] → [Data] to display only the trace corresponding to the
measurement data;
