Reduce IF bandwidth
The microwave analyzer converts the received response signal to a lower intermediate frequency signal
for processing. The bandwidth of the intermediate frequency band pass filter is called the intermediate
frequency bandwidth, and the microwave analyzer supports the variable bandwidth IF filter, wherein the
intermediate frequency bandwidth is set from 100 kHz to 1 Hz and changes in steps of 1, 3, and 10.
Reducing the IF bandwidth can lower the impact of the random noise on the measurements (reducing 10
times of the IF bandwidth can lower the noise base by 10dB), but it can prolong the sweep time. The
effect of IF bandwidth on measurements is shown in Figure 4-2:

Increasing dynamic range can prolong measurement time due to some
settings of the microwave analyzer.

2 Error correction type
Several types of error correction are provided, with 1-12 system errors available: Full 2 ports correction
eliminates effectively all the 12 correctable system errors. All the 12 errors are not required for correction
at the time for some measurements. Each correction and usage are described below:
