When patient inspiratory flow falls below adjusted Esens by user, exhalation
begins. The maximum inspiration time in assisted mode is 2 secs for adults and 1.5
sec for pediatrics.

It is a percentage of inhalation time and sets the time that inspiration is paused after
set tidal volume has been delivered. During this time no air is inhaled or exhaled by
the patient. This parameter is available inVCV and V-SIMV modes.
