COMPLETE™ Modulating Heating Control
(VANTAGE
®
Modulating Unitary Heaters (Model:
CTH3/HEM))
1. On a call for heat from zone sensor, zone LED on
control panel will be lit, and a signal is sent to start all
burners in the zone to begin ignition sequence.
2. VANTAGE
®
Modulating (Model: CTH3/HEM) burn-
ers will go through pre-purge cycle prior to ignition
sequence. Blower speed will vary as pressure switch
setpoints are verified. When pre-purge is complete,
heater will go into pre-ignition state and begin ignition
sequence.
3. When flame is established, burner will fire at maxi-
mum input for 3 minutes. Modulation begins after 3
minute initial run period. COMPLETE™ Modulating
Heating Control compares outdoor air temperature
with zone temperature setpoint and will modulate the
VANTAGE
®
Modulating burner appropriately to meet
zone temperature setpoint. If flame is not estab-
lished, burner ignition sequence will repeat. After four
trials, the VANTAGE
®
Modulating burner will lockout
for one hour or until reset.
4. If zone temperature falls X °F (Default = 5 °F)
below desired setpoint, or if zone temperature is not
within 1 °F of setpoint within 30 minutes of heat
cycle, 100% heat request issued.
5. When call for heat is satisfied, burner closes gas-
valve, zone LED light on control panel turns off. VAN-
TAGE
®
Modulating blower continues to run for a 45
second post-purge prior to shutting off.
COMPLETE™ Modulating Heating Control
(Single-Stage Unitary Heaters (Models: CTH2V,
CTHN, TF, HEV, BH)
1. On a call for heat from zone sensor, zone LED on
control panel will be lit, and a signal is sent to start all
burners in the zone to begin ignition sequence.
2. Burner ignition module will provide a pre-purge of
approximately 45 seconds prior to ignition. After pre-
purge, gas valve will open, and flame is established.
If flame is detected by burner flame sensor, burner
gas valve remains open. If flame is not established,
burner ignition sequence will repeat. After three trials,
the burner module will lockout for one hour or until
manual reset.
Note:
Burners in zone may not all fire at exact same
time. Ignition of all burners in zone may vary 3 - 5
seconds.
3. When flame is established, burner will fire until call
for heat is satisfied.
Note:
COMPLETE™ Modulating Heating Control will
not modulate single-stage burners. Burners will func-
tion (on/off) as designed.
4. When call for heat is satisfied, burner closes gas
valve, zone LED light on control panel turns off. Burn-
ers will shut off.
Note:
There is no post-purge.
COMPLETE™ Modulating Heating Control
(VANTAGE
®
CTHN Multiburner or CORAYVAC
®
On/Off (Non-Modulating))
1. On a call for heat from zone sensor, controller will
verify that vacuum pump air pressure switch is open.
If switch is open, vacuum pump LED on control panel
will be lit and vacuum pump will start immediately. If
controller verifies that vacuum pump air pressure
switch is closed during initial start, a fault alarm will
be activated and the system will not start.
OPTION:
If outside air blower is installed, blower will
start simultaneously with vacuum pump.
2.After a short run period, vacuum pressure switch
will close, zone LED on control panel will be lit and a
signal is sent to start all burner ignition sequences in
the zone.
Note:
Burners in zone may not all fire at exact same
time. Ignition of all burners in zone may vary 3 - 5
seconds.
4. System will continue to run until call for heat is sat-
isfied.
