Installing NICs in CX xx55, DX, EX xx60, and 
SteelFusion Core Appliances

This chapter describes how to install NICs in SteelHead CX xx55, DX, EX xx60, and SteelFusion Core 2000 
and 3000 appliances. It includes these sections:

Before you begin

Before you install a NIC, ensure the NIC meets the software requirements described in

SteelHead CX xx55, DX, EX xx60, and SteelFusion Core appliances” on page 78

.

During installation, make sure you follow proper ESD procedures when you handle the NIC:

•

Wear properly grounded ESD straps.
