Installing network add-on cards in 1U appliances

3. Hold the new card between the front bezel and the rear of the card to avoid ESD damage.

4. Plug the card into the slot on the riser (see

Figure 4-5

, letter A) and attach the bracket to the assembly

rear panel (see

Figure 4-5

, letter B).

The network add-on cards fit horizontally into the PCIe enclosure.

Note:

Make sure the cards are seated properly in the enclosure. If they aren’t seated properly, the cards don’t

function.
