Antifreeze function
When there is a demand for heat for heating, the electronic
management calculates the water flow temperature: this value
determines the power of the boiler.
In the event of a heating request, it will be activated of the
heat generator at the power set by the system electronic
management of the device. After activation the machine will
begin to modulate its power in order to reach the set flow
temperature or that environment required by the end user.
It is possible to monitor the system return temperature thanks
to the T2 probe - Return temperature; such a probe is of
fundamental importance to guarantee condensation a any
combustion regime and to control power dissipated by the
system, by changing the rotation speed of the fan.
The electronic board on the machine is capable of check the
flow temperature (T1) and monitor the return temperature
from the heating system (T2). There detection of both
parameters is useful for calculating the ΔT, i.e. the difference
between the flow temperature and that of return of the heating
system.
To have more benefits in terms of generator output is it is of
fundamental importance that the ΔT is as high as possible,
in order to recover as much latent heat as possible from
combustion products. This allows you to get one greater
amount of condensation by lowering as much as possible the
temperature of the fumes leaving the chimney, guaranteeing a
higher performance.
In order to preserve the heat exchanger from thermal
stress that could affect its resistance, a jump has been set
temperature of 20 ° C.
The heat generator is equipped with a series of suitable
protections to avoid damage to the heat exchanger which
intervenes for ΔT> 40 ° C. These protections intervene as
shown in the following table.
Also, in order to avoid overheating or the damage to the
system, the boiler monitors the pressures static and dynamic
of the system, as shown in the following table.

Safety 1:
If T1 -T2> 40 ° C, the power is reduced by 20%.
Safety 2:
If T1-T2> 40 ° C + 8 ° C, the power is reduced to a minimum.
Safety 3:
If T1 -T2> 40 ° C + 16 ° C, the boiler stops and shows error 110.

Range overview
The thermal generators of the aiM range are equipped with
a function that allows the protection of the generator from
damage caused by frost.
When the system flow temperature drops below at 5 ° C, the
burner and the pump are activated, protecting the primary
circuit from the risk of frost.
For the function to be active, make sure that the parameter of
the relevant operating circuit.
It is possible to lower the activation temperature of the
antifreeze function up to -4 ° C.
Make sure the power cord is connected and that the appliance
is electrically powered. There antifreeze protection is activated
only if the appliance is electrically powered.
