Steps prior to use
Perform the following tasks prior to any work:
– Make sure that all protective covers are properly installed.
– Make sure that these are no signs of visible damage on the outside of
the machine.
– Make sure that the electrical connections are not damaged.
– Make sure that no persons are in the danger zones and that no persons
reach into the danger zones.
Starting the machine
– Press the POWER button on the generator.
The results of the "System test" appear on the display.
– If the amplitude is set too low, repeat the system test.
NOTE
Repeating the system test if the amplitude is set too low
protects the system.
To measure a higher amplitude, enter the relevant PIN code
to navigate to the "Amplitude measurement" menu.
NOTE
To identify a possible system change, it is important that you
record the initial power loss value Pv when you conduct a
system test.
NOTE
Pressing the two buttons of the two-hand release simultane-
ously within 0.3 seconds starts the cycle.
The power loss of the oscillator system is measured (system
test).
The solenoid valve is activated and the actuator lowers.
Press and hold the start buttons until the safety switch (cursor
underneath the 6 mm indicator mark on the stroke scale) is
overridden or the hold time has elapsed.
If you release the start buttons prematurely, the actuator
returns to its original position.
An error message is displayed.
The welding process is activated by pressing TRIGGER.
Once the welding and hold time has expired, the actuator
returns to its original position.
An after-pulse can be triggered to prevent lightweight pieces
from sticking to the sonotrode.
