z Email(s) previously received by the
machine and stored in the hard drive
may contain damaged data. This can
be deleted by executing SP5832-007,
but note that doing so will also delete
all other received emails.

Machine detects an HDD error
during warm-up.
z Email(s) previously sent by the
machine and stored in the hard drive
may contain damaged data. This can
be deleted by executing SP5832-008,
but note that doing so will also delete
all other sent emails and initialize the
sender’s user name/password and
administrator mail address.

Defective HDD
z Advise the end user of the following important notes from the Operating Instructions:
Note: This is because the HDD can be damaged easily if the main switch is turned
OFF during data processing.
Do not turn off the main power switch immediately after turning it on. Doing so may
result in damage to the hard disk or memory, leading to malfunction.
Do not turn off the main power switch when the ‘On’ indicator is lit or blinking. Doing so
may result in damage to the hard disk or memory.
