Open the
snfs1.cfgx
configuration file and locate the
sectors=
value. The line in the
snfs1.cfgx
configuration file containing this
value looks similar to this:
<snfs:diskType typeName="SNFS_DATA_6000GB"
sectors="12884695775"sectorSize="512"/>

If the
sectors=
value in
snfs1.cfgx
doesn’t match the count
returned by running
cvlabel -l
, edit the
sectors=
value in
snfs1.cfgx
so that it matches the sector count returned by
cvlabel -l
.
Starting Configuration
Follow these steps to configure the Lattus A10 software and NAS
services:

Create the
/
usr/cvfs/config/deviceparams
file with the
following lines:
scheduler=deadline
nr_requests=4096

Run the command
/usr/cvfs/bin/cvfsid
and use the output to
obtain an snfs_was license file from Quantum Software Support.

Copy the license file provided by Quantum to
/usr/cvfs/config/license.dat.

Check the license file:
/usr/cvfs/config/license.dat
** Check license
# /usr/cvfs/bin/snlicense -t maintenance
- The maintenance license status is: Good
# /usr/cvfs/bin/snlicense -t server
- The server license status is: Good
# /usr/cvfs/bin/snlicense -t snfs_was
- The snfs_was license status is: Good

Verify that the disks are available for use as the StorNext metadata
and data disk. (Verify LUNs are visible using the command
cat /proc/scsi/scsi
.)

Label the LUNs:
