• Authentication
: This parameter specifies the authentication
method used to communicate with the Lattus host. Set this to
AWS Signature Version 2
if the S3 REST interface is used. Set
this to
Digest
if Lattus AXR interface is used and a user name
and password are required for access. Otherwise, set this to
None
.

User Name
: Enter a valid string to specify the User Name for
authentication. This is the AWS access key, and is required if
Lattus S3 is used.
•
Password
: Enter a valid string to specify the password for the
configured User Name used for authentication. This is the AWS
secret key, and is required if Lattus S3 is used.
•
Object Access Protocol
: Select the protocol to use for Lattus
Object Storage object access. By default, the protocol is set to
http.
Note:
You must create or import a Lattus Object Storage
security certificate prior to creating a Lattus Object
Storage Destination. The certificate applies to each
OBJS controller configured for HTTPS. If you only
intend to use HTTP, certificates are not needed.
To manage SSL certificates, click OBJS Certificates on
the Tools menu. For additional information, see
Appendix A, Basic Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Guidelines
in the
StorNext User's Guide
, which outlines some
standard information about using private and public
certificates.

Server Authentication
: This specifies if the peer’s certificate is
verified. “No Peer Authentication” means peer certificate
verification is skipped. “Only Peer Verification” means only
peer’s certificate will be verified. “Peer and Host Verification”
means both the peer’s certificate and the host’s certificate will
be verified. This parameter is used only if Object Access Protocol
is set to https.

Certificate Directory Path
: This specifies the path to the
directory which contains one or more certificate files required to
verify the peer. If you specify the Certificate Directory Path, it is
not necessary to specify the Certificate Absolute Path Name.
