• Lattus does not support migration from or to Quantum StorNext
appliances via the Lattus A10.
• The Lattus A10 does not support sharing a file or folder via both NFS
and CIFS simultaneously. Due to the semantic differences between
the two protocols, doing so will result in permission and coherency
issues. This is not software restricted, so prevention must be
ensured by configuration settings. For example, only mount or
export any given directory via either NFS or CIFS, but not both.
Stopping and Starting Lattus Snpolicyd
If Lattus hardware and software must be interrupted from normal
operations to perform an upgrade or maintenance service, the Lattus
snpolicyd
must be stopped. After the Lattus service is complete, restart
StorNext
snpolicyd
.
To stop Lattus
snpolicyd
, run
/usr/cvfs/bin/cvadmin -e "stopd snpolicyd"
Note:
This may take an extended period of time if
snpolicyd
is
actively pushing data to Lattus.
To resume Lattus snpolicyd, run
/usr/cvfs/bin/cvadmin -e "startd
snpolicyd"

To shut down the Lattus A10, follow this procedure:
