ZOMBIEs 12xx

User Entry

This submenu item allows the user to enter a name for the device, and to view or alter the name
which has already been assigned to it.

The name given serves to identify the ZOMBIE, for example in an installation with several
hierarchical levels such as RS-232 OCTOPUS 1226. It is also used in presets and setups
downloaded for archive purposes from the ZOMBIE and saved on a PC.

Through hitting ENTER the user enters the menu item

The current name is displayed on the bottom line of the display. The cursor indicates the first letter
of this name, here

J

. The letter currently indicated by the cursor is displayed in the top right of the

display.

This letter can be replaced. The pulsar allows the user to scroll through the alphabet and a range of
special characters.

TOGGLE allows the user to copy the chosen letter to the cursor position. The cursor then moves
one step to the right. When the end of the line is reached, it springs back to its original position.

If an error is made in the entry, all modifications can be reversed with EXIT. The previous name
remains valid.

When the new name has been entered correctly, it can be saved permanently with
ENTER.
