2. Menu Structure - 2.3 Clock Config (/MX option only)

transmitted to the Global Loop if there is a SRC present. A further restriction is imposed by the fact
that the LL receiver must be able to extract the clock signal from the LL format for this mode to
operate. So far that is only possible with the AES/EBU and SPDIF interfaces.

The menu items and clock signal sources for the “master mode” are:

The various possibilities of the master mode are realized through the simultaneous use of three
different adjustable frequency scales. Their standard values are 32.0, 44.1 and 48.0 kHz. Each of the
three sample rates can be adjusted freely in 100Hz steps between 28.0 and 54.0 kHz.

In the modes

VID.60

and

TTL60

on a 100 Hz scale only sample rates divisible through 300Hz

could be used. The 100 Hz scale is consequently not used for these modes, instead a frequency
ladder based on 3 and accurate up to two decimal places is used, so the graduations in the scale are
as follows: 60Hz, 120Hz, 120Hz, 60Hz...The frequency displayed is always exact.

All modes support sample rates which deviate from the expected frequency by up to ±12,5%, for
example in varispeed use.

Note: If

VID.60

is fed from a Drop Frame video signal, standard values of

31.968, 44.0559 and 47.952kHz result. It is not possible to convert Drop Frame
frequencies into straight sample rates using ZOMBIEs. We recommend using a
VIDEO CLOCTOPUS 1237 for this purpose.
