. The volume of messages arriving on the LL interface and the block

rate influence the reaction time and the transmission time. A high block rate helps to keep the
reaction time low if the messages are short, a low block rate enables a faster reaction time with
longer messages. The rule of thumb: select between short messages – high blockrate or long
messages – low blockrate.
