Web GUI Requirements
KVM Session
Requirement
KVM1
The KVM Viewer application will support up to two (2) concurrent KVM sessions
KVM2
The KVM Viewer shall be a Java application and requires the installation of a JRE package at the client
viewer PC. The specific support version will be defined during implementation. The user must install
JRE 1.5.0 update 15 on the client viewer PC for proper operation of the Java KVM Viewer.
KVM3
The BMC KVM Firmware shall support the following host resolutions. Note that
these are driven by the AST2050 part and not by the KVM firmware or KVM Viewer.
1280 x 1024 @ 60 Hz , 16 bits & 32 bits
1024 x 768 @ 60, 72, 75 and 85 Hz
800 x 600 @ 60, 72, 75 and 85 Hz
640 x 480 @ 60, 72, 75 and 85 Hz
KVM4
KVM client support Operation system:
1. Windows XP , Windows 2003 , Windows 2008
2. Linux OS (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x 32/64-bit , Fedora Core 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 )
Chapter 4 — BMC
Requirement
WEB1
Web-based Graphical User Interface supported on the following browsers:
* IE 6, IE7 and Firefox 2.0 on Windows
* Firefox 2.0 on Linux
WEB2
The web server shall support both HTTP and HTTPS protocols.
WEB3
The web GUI shall be accessed using a supported browser and by entering the IP address of the BMC
in the URL line of the browser.
WEB4
The web server shall support 4 concurrent connections.
WEB5
The web GUI shall provide and permit configuration of the following elements:
* System: Properties, Component, Power, System Event Log, Firmware Update, Server Identity
* Sensor: Fans, Temperatures, Voltages
* Console: Console Redirection
* Configuration: Console, Network, Platform Events, Service, Serial Over LAN,
Traps Settings, Users, SSL, email alert setting
WEB6
Support the auto-logout function, the default inactivity timeout is 300 seconds.
WEB7
The Web GUI must support on-line help in English.
