Reader Defaults
– Selecting Reset to PSC Defaults resets the
Reader to its factory default configuration.
• All Fields to PSC (factory) Defaults
• System Fields Only to PSC Defaults
• Decoder Fields Only to PSC Defaults.
Reset to Customer Defaults – If your Reader was preconfig-
ured for a particular environment, this selection will
return all your preconfigured settings. If your Reader
was not preconfigured specifically for your environment,
Reset to Customer Defaults will return the Reader to the
same settings as the PSC default.

Display Config – This option causes the Reader to show the text
of the current Reader configuration information in the
Received Data Window.
Communication
– This communication menu displays settings
affecting the Reader RS-232 serial communication: baud
rate, data format, hardware flow control, software flow
control, and protocol.
Symbology – The Symbology menu displays settings, accord-
ing to symbology, affecting the decoding and reporting of
code symbols. Some fields are used by all symbologies;
others, only by certain symbologies. It allows the user to
disable or enable symbologies.
Output – The Output menu contains discrete options for con-
figuring the format of image data and the way in which
