Feedback Signaling For Reads and Errors
This menu option provides provisions for adjusting beeper volume
and duration, for setting the duration of the “good read” LED, for
disabling the Unsuccessful (No) Read Message, or for selecting the
normal or the optional Code 39 report format (see Figure 35).
Beeper Volume [Default = high volume]. The beeper may be
turned off, or set to low, medium, or high volume. This
volume setting applies to all instances where the beeper
is used, including error conditions.
Good Read Beeper Duration (0 to 99 milliseconds) [Default = 15
(150 milliseconds)]. The duration of the beeper indicator
can be set from 0 to 990 in ten-millisecond increments
(1=10, 2=20, 3=30 51=510, 74 =740, etc.). This duration
applies to all instances where the beeper is used (except
startup beeps), including error conditions.

Good Read LED Duration (0 to 99) [Default = 15 (150 millisec-
onds)]. This setting determines how many milliseconds
the “good read” LED will remain on after a successful
capture. The duration of the LED indicator can be set
from 0 to 990 milliseconds in 10 millisecond increments
(1 = 10, 2 = 20, 3 = 30, 51 = 510, 74 = 740 milliseconds,
etc.). If set to zero, the “good read” LED will not be on at
all.
