RTS Mode
(Request to Send) [Default = RTS High On Receive
Ready]. Determines how the RS-232 Request To Send
(RTS) line is used.
Always High — The RTS line will always be high.
Always Low — The RTS line will always be low.
Low On Receive Ready — RTS will be set low by the Reader
when it wants to signal that it is ready to receive data.
RTS will be set to high by the Reader when it is not ready
to receive data.
High On Receive Ready
— RTS will be set high by the
Reader when it wants to signal that it is ready to receive
data. RTS will be set low by the reader when it is not
ready to receive data.
Low On Transmit Ready — RTS will be set low by the
Reader when it wants to signal that it is ready to transmit
data. RTS will be set high by the Reader when it has no
data to transmit.
High On Transmit Ready — RTS will be set high by the
Reader when it wants to signal that it is ready to transmit
data. RTS will be set low by the Reader when it has no
data to transmit.
Read Ahead Mode [Default = Disabled]. Enabling this feature
configures the Reader to read ahead until the transmit
queue fills up.
Enable Read Ahead — When enabled, the Reader will cap-
ture another symbol when triggered to do so, even if
transmission of the data from the last decoded symbol
has not yet completed.
Disable Read Ahead — When disabled, the Reader will not
send another symbol until transmission of the data from
the last decode is completed.
Intercharacter Delay
[Default = 0]. Refers to the pause, if any,
between each character before it is sent to the host. This
time delay (in ms) is used to control the flow of data from
the reader. The default setting is zero (0 ms), resulting in
no pause between characters.
